Sheet

sheet-image-1.jpg

Sheet is a hand processed, black and white photograph of a piece of heavy, white, opaque fabric hung by four corners on two parallel domestic washing lines. Hanging the sheet by its four corners suggests the physicality and memory of the body, a topic of interest to me.

The image is theatrically styled and simultaneously crosses the physical boundaries of sculpture, environment and installation.

I use this image often in my work. Its ambiguity compounded when placed together with other objects.
